In cooperation with the Ministry of Trade and Investment, protecting the national product through using commercial processing tools in a workshop at Asharqia Chamber
On Monday 12 November 2018, Asharqia Chamber and in cooperation with the Ministry of Trade and Investment will organize a workshop entitled "Protecting the national product through using commercial processing tools" at the Chamber's headquarter at 9 am.
It will be presented by the Director General of the Department of Trade Processes at the Ministry of Trade and Investment, Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al Seif, and the Ministry of Trade Processors Advisor, Hatem Abdel Moneim Ghanem.
The workshop aims to raise the awareness of exporters from the Eastern region to trade-related issues and to expand their perceptions of harmful practices in international trade.
The workshop discusses several topics related to the roles played by the General Administration of Commercial Remedies in the Ministry of Trade and Investment, as well as the role of the Office of the Technical Secretariat responsible for combating harmful practices in international trade, and the definition of the business sector in the Gulf industry and its requirements and the definition of differences between the product in question and the similar product, in addition to explaining the intended indications of the occurrence of dumping, the presence of dedicated subsidies or a significant and sudden increase in imports, as well as evidence of damage.
